What Type of Cellulite do I Have?

Q:I have heard that there are different types of cellulite. How can I tell which type I have?

A:Hard, or solid cellulite usually occurs in women who are active (such as dancers or runners). Hard cellulite is difficult to get rid of because it doesn't lift from the body easily. It's also harder to see because it attaches directly to the muscle.
Soft cellulite is not as concentrated as hard cellulite and is much more visible. It occurs in large areas and, because it doesn't attach so strongly to the muscle, it's looser, often sagging from the body. The result is often poor muscle tone. Because it's easier to spot, it's also easier to remove.

To test for cellulite, lightly pinch or press an area of tissue between your thumb and finger (or in a larger area, between the palms of your two hands). Normal fat appears fairly smooth, but cellulite will reveal dimples or ripples - like the skin of an orange. Cellulite tissue is also more sensitive and can feel cold to the touch. It might appear whiter than the rest of your skin.

Don't worry, Tina. The thighs and hips fat always on the pregnant woman, estrogen will soften all of the connective tissue in your body, not just that around your womb. Keep some daily exercise, you will remove them after baby born.

HELP! I will b 39 in Dec. and I am also 8m pregnant. I was always conscience of working out and eating right. Yes, on weekends I did my thing. My first trimester I was just overly tired. I couldnt keep my eyes open at work, let alone get up an hour early to work out. I usually workout in the morning. I'm only 8m and have put on 34 lbs. I don't look fat just pregnant. but to me, my thighs and hips r huge. my thighs without pinching is nothing but cellulite - from the top of my thigh to the top of my knee. I just stand and u can see it!!! Im so embarrassed. I just keep asking myself how did this happen. HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS? After my baby is born will some of it disappear or do i have to live with this for the rest of my life? HELP! Its so depressing. Any advise is appreciated.

Thanx,
Tina
